All Hidden Walls & Secret Areas
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is filled with hidden paths and secret areas that often contain valuable items, Spirit Emblems, or lore. Discovering these can provide significant advantages and a deeper understanding of the game's world.
Hirata Estate - First Encounter
- Location: Near the "Estate Path" Sculptor's Idol.
- Secret: After defeating the Enforcers, look for a wall behind some bamboo. A stealth Deathblow can be performed on an enemy here, leading to a hidden path. This path leads to a merchant and a hidden alcove with items.
- Reward: Often contains valuable consumables and crafting materials.
Ashina Castle - Upper Levels
- Location: In the main hall of Ashina Castle, after defeating Genichiro Ashina.
- Secret: There's a section of the wall that can be broken or bypassed to access a hidden room. This room often contains a valuable item or lore.
- Reward: Look for a hidden passage behind a screen or a breakable wall.
Senpou Temple, Mt. Kongo
- Location: Within the main temple area, after dealing with the monks.
- Secret: There are several hidden paths and ledges that can be accessed by careful observation and platforming. One notable area is accessible by jumping off a specific ledge that appears to be a dead end.
- Reward: These areas often lead to Prayer Beads or rare consumables.
Sunken Valley
- Location: Throughout the Sunken Valley, particularly in areas with treacherous drops.
- Secret: Many seemingly inaccessible ledges and caves can be reached using the Grappling Hook or by precise jumping. Keep an eye out for small openings or platforms that seem out of reach.
- Reward: Can lead to unique items and optional mini-bosses.
Mibu Village
- Location: Within the waterlogged village.
- Secret: There are submerged paths and hidden caves that are not immediately obvious. Exploring the water thoroughly is key.
- Reward: Often contains valuable items and lore related to the village's inhabitants.
