How to Beat Juzou the Drunkard
Juzou the Drunkard is a formidable mini-boss encountered in the Hirata Estate. He is a large, heavily built enemy who wields a massive sword and can unleash devastating area-of-effect attacks, often fueled by the sake he consumes. His primary threat lies in his wide, sweeping sword strikes and his ability to grab the Wolf, dealing significant damage. Defeating Juzou requires patience, precise deflection, and strategic use of the environment and prosthetic tools.
The fight against Juzou the Drunkard is best approached with a focus on his Posture. While his Vitality is substantial, breaking his Posture is the most reliable way to achieve a Deathblow. Juzou's attacks are heavily telegraphed, giving players ample opportunity to deflect. However, his wide swings can be difficult to dodge entirely. It's recommended to stay relatively close to him, baiting out his attacks and deflecting them. When he pauses after a combo, land a few hits to chip away at his Posture. The environment also plays a role; there are often soldiers assisting Juzou, and they can be dealt with first to focus solely on the mini-boss. The Shinobi Firecracker prosthetic tool can be effective in stunning Juzou briefly, creating an opening for a few hits. Alternatively, using the Loaded Axe can deal significant Posture damage when Juzou is recovering from a heavy attack. Remember to manage your own Posture and Vitality, and don't be afraid to disengage briefly to heal if necessary.
