Headless & Shichimen Warrior Mini-Bosses

Headless and Shichimen Warrior mini-bosses present significant challenges in Sekiro, often requiring specific strategies and items. Shichimen Warriors, for instance, are optional but extremely difficult, and Divine Confetti is essential for their defeat. Stealth can be a powerful tool to manage surrounding enemies before engaging these mini-bosses directly, allowing for a more focused combat experience.

General Strategy for Mini-Bosses:

  • Eliminate surrounding enemies first. Fighting a mini-boss with additional mobs nearby is often more difficult.
  • Utilize stealth to get a critical hit on a mini-boss's first life bar if possible. This can be done by approaching from behind or dropping from above when they are unaware.

Shichimen Warrior:

  • An extremely difficult, optional mini-boss found in the Underground Waterway Idol area.
  • To effectively fight Shichimen Warriors, you will need Divine Confetti. This item can be purchased infinitely from merchants after obtaining the Dragon's Tally Board by defeating the true Corrupted Monk.

Headless Ape:

  • Found in Ashina Depths after defeating the Guardian Ape in Sunken Valley.
  • Focus on killing the Headless Ape. While killing its mate can restore a Resurrection charge, it is not recommended.
  • Bait the Headless Ape to use its belly slide attack. This provides an opening for 3-5 attacks without needing to dodge extensively.
  • Maintain distance from both apes and wait for the belly slide attack.
