Ashina Esoteric Text
The Ashina Esoteric Text is a valuable item in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice that unlocks the Ashina Arts skill tree. This tree focuses on powerful, direct offensive techniques that can stagger enemies, break their posture, and deal significant damage. Learning these arts is crucial for players who prefer an aggressive, head-on approach to combat.
To acquire the Ashina Esoteric Text, you must progress through the main story and defeat specific bosses. It is typically obtained after defeating Genichiro Ashina atop Ashina Castle. Once obtained, you can take it to the Sculptor at the Dilapidated Temple. Interacting with him will allow you to spend Skill Points to learn the Ashina Arts, such as the devastating Ichimonji and Ichimonji: Double.
The Ashina Arts are particularly effective against enemies with high Posture. The Ichimonji and Ichimonji: Double, for example, deal substantial Posture damage and can even recover some of Sekiro's own Posture when used.
