Master of the Blade Achievement
The "Master of the Blade" achievement in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice involves understanding the game's core mechanics and progressing through its narrative. Players are introduced to the Sculptor and Emma at the Dilapidated Temple, a crucial hub. The Sculptor, an elderly man missing his left arm, found Sekiro after his defeat by Ashina's commander and continually assists him. He carves Buddha statues and refers to Sekiro as Wolf.
At the Dilapidated Temple, players will meet:
- The Sculptor: He explains that he dragged Sekiro back to prevent him from being eaten by dogs. He also reveals that Sekiro's master, Kuro, is alive but imprisoned in Ashina Castle, where his bloodline is being exploited. The Sculptor also explains "The Dragon Heritage," a special bloodline making Kuro a target and causing Sekiro's body to behave strangely. He provides Sekiro with the Shinobi Prosthetic, designed to use Shinobi Tools, as he no longer needs it.
- Emma: A doctor working for an unnamed master, whose identity she keeps secret for safety reasons.
- Hanbei the Undying: Serves as a "Training Dummy" for players to practice combat mechanics.
The Sekiro Wiki Guide offers extensive resources for players, including New Player Help, a Game Progress Route, Endings guide, and a Trophy & Achievement Guide to assist with 100% completion. The game is set in Sengoku Japan (late 1500s), where players embody a skilled Shinobi, using prosthetic tools and ninja abilities in a blend of stealth, vertical traversal, and intense combat. The story begins with Sekiro's betrayal by the Ashina Clan, who kidnapped his lord and severed his arm.
