Return Achievement

The "Return" ending in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice represents a path where the protagonist, the Wolf, seeks to return the Divine Heir, Kuro, to his homeland. This conclusion is achieved by undertaking a specific set of optional objectives that involve gathering rare ingredients and engaging in unique interactions with characters. It is a more involved process than the standard "Immortal Severance" ending and requires players to explore thoroughly and engage with the game's deeper lore.

To achieve the "Return" ending, players must first acquire the "Immortalized" item. This is obtained by collecting two key ingredients: the "Serpent's Prayer Beads" and the "Fresh Serpent Viscera." The "Serpent's Prayer Beads" are acquired by defeating the Guardian Ape and then progressing through its lair to find the item. The "Fresh Serpent Viscera" is obtained by defeating the Divine Dragon and then returning to the Ashina Castle area to find a specific serpent. After obtaining both ingredients, they must be combined to create the "Immortalized" item. This item is then given to Kuro. Following this, players must proceed to defeat the final boss, Isshin Ashina. Upon defeating Isshin Ashina, You will be prompted to use the "Dragon's Tear" on Kuro, which, in conjunction with the "Immortalized" item, will trigger the "Return" ending. This path emphasizes the protagonist's loyalty and desire to protect Kuro by returning him to his origins.

Steps to Achieve Return

  1. Defeat the Guardian Ape and obtain the "Serpent's Prayer Beads."
