Gauntlet of Strength Bosses

These gauntlets are designed to test a player's mastery of the game's intricate combat system, requiring them to adapt their strategies on the fly as they face several enemy types and attack patterns. Each gauntlet culminates in a particularly difficult boss encounter, often an "Inner" version of a familiar character, demanding near-perfect execution and a deep understanding of all available combat arts and Prosthetic Tools. Successfully completing a Gauntlet of Strength rewards players with unique items, such as the Dragon's Tallyboard and the Divine Confetti, which are essential for certain endings and for tackling the most difficult optional content. The progression through these gauntlets is linear, meaning players must defeat each boss to advance to the next, and failure at any point typically requires restarting the entire gauntlet.

The Inner Isshin, in particular, introduces new attack patterns and combos that differ from his previous iterations, requiring players to learn his new tells and timings. Preparation is key; ensuring that all available skills are unlocked and that Prosthetic Tools like the Loaded Umbrella or the Sabimaru are upgraded can make a significant difference. Consumables such as Pellets and Divine Confetti should also be stocked, as they can provide crucial buffs and damage boosts during these extended boss rushes. The sheer endurance required to clear these gauntlets cannot be overstated, as players must maintain peak performance through multiple difficult encounters without respite.
