Prosthetic Tools
Wolf's Prosthetic Arm can be fitted with several Prosthetic Tools, each offering unique offensive, defensive, or utility capabilities. These tools are acquired throughout the game by defeating specific enemies or finding them in hidden locations, and they consume Spirit Emblems to activate. The Shinobi Firecracker, for example, can stun most enemies, creating openings for attacks or allowing for a tactical retreat. The Loaded Axe, on the other hand, deals significant posture damage and can break through enemy guards. Each tool has its own set of strengths and weaknesses, and mastering their use is key to overcoming the diverse challenges Sekiro presents. Players are encouraged to experiment with different tool combinations to find strategies that suit their playstyle and the specific enemy encounters they face. The effectiveness of these tools can be further enhanced through upgrades, which often require specific materials like Scrap Iron and Black Gunpowder, as well as Sen. These upgrades can imbue the tools with new properties or increase their power and efficiency, making them even more valuable assets in combat. For instance, upgrading the Loaded Axe might increase its damage output or reduce its Spirit Emblem cost.
The strategic application of Prosthetic Tools can dramatically alter the flow of combat. The Loaded Spear, for instance, can be used to pull enemies towards Wolf, interrupt their attacks, or even disarm them. Its various upgrade paths can further specialize its function, such as the Loaded Spear's ability to perform a thrust attack after retraction. The Gachiin's Sugar, while not a prosthetic tool itself, can be used in conjunction with stealth-focused prosthetic tools like the Mist Raven to enhance the effectiveness of surprise attacks. The game provides numerous opportunities to acquire new tools and upgrade existing ones, rewarding players who explore thoroughly and engage with the game's systems. The Sculptor, who resides at the Dilapidated Temple, is the craftsman responsible for both crafting and upgrading these prosthetic tools, requiring You to bring him the necessary components and Sen. aim to acquire and upgrade as many tools as possible to broaden their combat options and adapt to the ever-increasing difficulty of the game's encounters, such as those found in the Senpou Temple, Mt. Kongo.
