Overview
Khnum is a towering, demonic bull-like creature that appears as a mini-boss in several levels and as a full boss in specific encounters. It's incredibly durable and relies on powerful charge attacks and fire breath. The arenas are typically large and open, allowing for extensive kiting.

Phases & Attacks
- Phase 1: Charge & Stomp: Khnum will relentlessly charge at Sam. If it connects, it deals massive damage. It also performs powerful ground stomps if you get too close.
- Phase 2: Fire Breath: After a charge, or if you're at a distance, Khnum will unleash a cone of fire breath, dealing continuous damage.
- Phase 3: Enraged (Lower Health): As its health drops, Khnum's charges become faster and more frequent, and its fire breath lasts longer.
Strategy
- Weapons: Rocket Launcher, Cannon, Minigun. The Double Shotgun can be effective if you can get close after a dodge.
- Movement: This is the most critical aspect. Always be moving and ready to dodge. When Khnum charges, strafe sideways at the last possible moment to avoid it. This will often leave it momentarily stunned or disoriented.
- Targeting: Khnum has no obvious weak points. Focus fire on its body with your most powerful weapons. After it charges past you, turn and unload into its back or sides.
- Enemy Spawns: Khnum often appears with supporting enemies like Kleer Skeletons or Gnaar. Prioritize clearing these smaller threats quickly with the Shotgun or Assault Rifle so you can focus solely on Khnum.
- Power-ups: Serious Damage is excellent for quickly burning down Khnum's health. Invulnerability can allow you to stand your ground and unleash a full clip of rockets or cannonballs.
- Environment: Use large obstacles (pillars, ruins) to break line of sight and force Khnum to change its charge path, giving you precious seconds to reload or reposition.
Rewards
Defeating Khnum typically clears the area and grants access to the next part of the level. You'll usually find a good supply of health, armor, and ammo to replenish your resources after the intense battle.
