The game begins amidst the chaos of Mental's invasion in Cairo. Your first objective is to reach the museum. You'll start with just your trusty sledgehammer and a pistol. Conserve pistol ammo for distant threats and use the sledgehammer for close-quarters enemies like the Headless Kamikazes. Navigate through the destroyed streets, dealing with small groups of Headless Rocketeers and Gnaar. Look for ammo and health pickups scattered around. The initial encounters serve as a tutorial for basic combat. Don't rush into large groups; try to thin them out from a distance. Your first major weapon upgrade, the Assault Rifle, will be found relatively early, significantly boosting your firepower. Keep an eye out for explosive barrels, which can be used to clear groups of enemies efficiently. The environment itself can be your ally.
