Side Quests & Activities

While Serious Sam: The First Encounter is primarily a linear, action-packed experience, there are numerous optional activities and secrets to discover that enhance gameplay and reward exploration. These aren't traditional 'side quests' in the RPG sense, but rather hidden areas, challenging arenas, and collectible power-ups that provide significant advantages. Exploring these often leads to secret weapons, massive health/armor bonuses, or even humorous easter eggs. Taking the time to seek out these hidden gems can make your journey through Mental's hordes much more manageable and enjoyable, especially on higher difficulty settings. Always keep an eye out for suspicious cracks in walls, unusual environmental features, or paths that seem to lead nowhere.
