Shroomer is the mini-boss of the Mushroom Mines. This large, fungal creature has a few predictable attacks that can be easily dodged once you understand its patterns. Shroomer will primarily attack by stomping, which creates a shockwave that travels along the ground. Jump over this shockwave to avoid damage. It also has an attack where it releases a volley of spores that float slowly through the air. These spores can be destroyed with your Shovel Blade or Shovel Drop. The key to defeating Shroomer is to get close and attack its head with your Shovel Blade, or use a well-timed Shovel Drop on its cap. After taking damage, Shroomer will often retreat into the ground and reappear elsewhere. Anticipate its re-emergence and be ready to dodge its next attack. Relics like the Flare Wand can be effective for consistent damage from a distance, while the Dust Knuckles can help you quickly close the gap and deal burst damage. Focus on consistent damage and avoiding its shockwaves.
