User Interface (UI) Overview — Silent Hill f Guide

Understand the Silent Hill f UI: health, stamina, inventory, map, and journal. Learn to interpret visual cues for survival.

The User Interface in Silent Hill f is designed to be minimalistic, enhancing immersion and the sense of dread. Key elements are only displayed when necessary or when actively accessed. In the bottom-left corner, you'll find your Health Bar, which indicates your current physical condition. Pay close attention to its color and length; a red, flickering bar sifies critical health. Adjacent to it is the Stamina Bar, which depletes when sprinting or performing strenuous actions and regenerates over time. In the bottom-right, you'll occasionally see contextual prompts for interactions or quick-time events. The Inventory Menu (accessed via the 'Pause' button or 'Tab' on PC) is where you manage your items, weapons, and view your map and journal. The map is crucial for navigation, highlighting objectives and discovered areas. Your journal will contain important notes, documents, and clues found throughout your journey, often providing vital hints for puzzles or lore. Keep an eye out for subtle visual cues on screen, such as a slight distortion or a change in lighting, which often precede enemy encounters or environmental shifts.
