Before you can embark on your adventure, you need to connect your Portal of Power. For most consoles (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii), the Portal connects via a USB cable. Simply plug the USB end into an available port on your console. For the Nintendo 3DS, the Portal connects wirelessly via infrared. Ensure the Portal is on a flat, stable surface and that there are no obstructions between it and your console (for wireless versions). Once connected, the Portal should light up, indicating it's ready to scan your Skylanders. If it doesn't light up, double-check the connection and consult your console's manual for USB port troubleshooting.
