Each Skylander belongs to one of eight elemental types: Air, Earth, Fire, Water, Life, Undead, Magic, and Tech. These elements play a crucial role in gameplay, as certain areas in Skylands grant elemental bonuses to Skylanders of the corresponding type. For example, a Fire Skylander will deal more damage and take less damage in a Fire elemental zone. It's highly recommended to have at least one Skylander of each element to fully explore all areas and overcome elemental challenges. Swapping Skylanders on the Portal of Power is instantaneous and can be done at any time during gameplay, allowing for strategic elemental advantages.
