The true final boss, accessible only with all 7 Chaos Emeralds. Sonic transforms into Super Sonic.
Recommended Team:
- Sonic (Leader) & Tails (Partner): Super Sonic's invincibility and flight, Tails for ring drops.
Phases & Strategy:
- Super Sonic Transformation: You play as Super Sonic, invulnerable but constantly losing rings. If rings hit 0, you revert and lose a life.
- Energy Orbs & Lasers: Ultimate Gizoid fires large energy orbs and sweeping lasers. Fly freely to dodge.
- Super Sonic Boost: Use B to dash through the Gizoid, dealing damage.
- Shield & Homing Attacks: Gizoid occasionally shields itself (invulnerable). After damage, it becomes more aggressive, with faster attacks and homing dashes.
Weakness: The Gizoid's body when its shield is down. Aim for 15-20 hits. Focus on dodging and continuously boosting into it. Tails will occasionally drop rings, which are vital for maintaining Super Sonic form. This is an endurance fight requiring constant vigilance over your ring count.
