Knuckles is the powerhouse of the team, specializing in brute strength, gliding, and climbing. He excels at breaking through obstacles and exploring hidden vertical passages.
As Leader:
- Glide: Press A twice and hold A to glide horizontally for a long distance, allowing him to cross large gaps.
- Wall Climb: While gliding into a wall, he can grab onto it and climb vertically.
- Punch Attack: His standard attack, a powerful punch that can break certain blocks.
- Dig: In specific spots, he can dig into the ground to find items.
As Partner:
- Tag Action (Knuckles Uppercut): When activated (L button), Knuckles will perform a powerful uppercut, launching his leader high into the air. This is useful for reaching high platforms, breaking blocks above, or launching into a Homing Attack. It also damages enemies.
Best Paired With: Sonic (for speed and combined combat/exploration), Tails (for combined vertical exploration and recovery), Amy (for combined strength and high jumps).
