Recommended Team: Sonic (Leader) & Tails (Partner)
The Egg Blaster is a large, stationary cannon that fires powerful laser beams and energy orbs. The arena is a series of platforms with gaps in between. Your goal is to hit the cannon's core, which is usually exposed after it fires.
Phase 1: Laser and Orb Attacks
The Egg Blaster will fire a large laser beam horizontally across the screen. Jump over this beam to avoid damage. It will also fire energy orbs that bounce around the arena. Dodge these by moving or jumping. After firing, the cannon's core will briefly open, exposing a vulnerable spot. Use Sonic's Homing Attack or a well-timed jump to hit the core. Tails' flight can give you extra height if the core is slightly elevated or if you need to quickly reach a platform.
Phase 2: Increased Speed and Multiple Lasers
After taking some damage, the Egg Blaster will fire its attacks faster and may fire multiple laser beams or more energy orbs simultaneously. The core will still open after its attacks, but for a shorter duration. Sonic's speed is crucial for dodging the faster attacks and quickly getting into position to strike. If you're struggling to reach the core, use Tails' Tag Action for a quick boost. Aim for 8-10 hits to defeat the boss. Be mindful of the gaps between platforms, as falling will cost you rings or a life.
