  • Rings: Displayed in the top-left corner. Collecting 100 rings grants an extra life. If you take damage, you lose all your rings, but can recollect some if you're quick.
  • Lives: Shown next to your ring count. Losing all your rings and taking damage, or falling into a bottomless pit, will cost you a life.
  • Time: Located in the top-right corner. Each act has a time limit. Exceeding it will result in a time over, costing a life.
  • Score: Positioned below the time. Collecting rings, defeating enemies, and completing acts quickly contribute to your score.
  • Character Portraits: In the bottom-left, you'll see portraits of your current leader and partner. This helps you quickly identify who is active and who is assisting.
  • Partner Gauge: A small gauge often appears near your partner's portrait. This indicates when your partner's special Tag Action is ready to be used. It usually fills up over time or by collecting rings.

Keeping an eye on your ring count is paramount, as it acts as your primary defense against damage. monitor the time, especially in longer acts, to avoid unexpected game overs.
