Recommended Team: Sonic (Leader) & Tails (Partner)
Twinkle Snow Act 1 starts with a slippery downhill section. Be careful not to slide into enemies or pits. Use Sonic's speed to maintain momentum, but be ready to jump or Spin Dash to control your movement on ice. Tails' flight is excellent for bypassing slippery sections or reaching high, icy platforms that are difficult to jump to. You'll encounter several large snowballs that roll down slopes; jump over them or use a Spin Dash to destroy them.
There are sections with icy blocks that crumble after you step on them; move quickly across these. Look for hidden passages within snowdrifts; a Spin Dash can often break through these, revealing rings or power-ups. A Special Spring is often hidden behind a series of icy blocks that require multiple hits to break. The act concludes with a series of ascending icy platforms and springs, leading to the goal ring. Practice your ice control here to avoid frustrating falls.
