The Egg Totem is a multi-segmented boss that rises from the ground, resembling an ancient statue. It attacks with fire and by extending its segments.
Phase 1: Segmented Attacks
The Egg Totem will rise from the ground, revealing several segments. It will then extend its segments horizontally or vertically, attempting to hit you. It also shoots fireballs from its mouth. Your target is the top segment, where Eggman is piloting. You need to jump on the extending segments to reach the top. Sonic's Homing Attack can chain hits on the segments to reach the top. Tails can fly directly to the top segment. Knuckles can climb the segments as they extend. Amy needs to use her Hammer Jump to gain height. The challenge is timing your jumps and movements to avoid the extending segments and fireballs while making your way to the top. After taking a few hits, the totem will retract and then rise again in a different pattern. It takes about 14-16 hits to defeat.
