Act 1 of Angel Island Zone features flowing waterfalls that can carry you down or hide secret passages. You'll encounter ancient ruins with crumbling blocks and spike traps. Look for vines that you can swing on to cross large gaps or reach higher platforms. For Sonic, maintaining speed through the winding paths and using his Homing Attack on enemies is key. Tails can fly over many of the spike traps and reach high ledges with ease, making him excellent for finding secrets. Knuckles' climbing ability is invaluable for scaling the ancient ruins and finding hidden areas. Amy's Hammer Jump can help her reach elevated platforms and clear enemies. Be careful of enemies that blend into the foliage. There are often hidden springs behind waterfalls or within destructible blocks. The level design encourages exploration, so take your time to uncover all the secrets and ring caches.
