Act 2 expands on the pinball mechanics with more complex layouts and a greater emphasis on verticality. You'll encounter sections where you need to be launched upwards through multiple layers of bumpers and flippers. There are also areas with moving platforms and rotating cylinders that require precise timing to navigate. For Sonic, mastering the Light Dash on ring trails can help you navigate quickly through some of the more chaotic sections. Tails' flight is incredibly useful for reaching the highest platforms and bypassing difficult pinball sequences. Knuckles can climb the tall structures to find alternative routes and avoid the lower, more dangerous paths. Amy's Hammer Jump can help her reach high flippers or platforms that are otherwise difficult to access. Keep an eye out for the large Special Stage Rings, often hidden in the upper reaches of the stage, requiring careful navigation or character-specific abilities to reach. The end of this act leads to the zone's boss, so be prepared for a fight!
