User Interface (UI) Overview — Sonic Adventure Guide

Understand the Sonic Adventure UI: ring count, score, timer, and menu navigation for a better gameplay experience.

·Multi-source verified (48/48)

The User Interface in Sonic Adventure is designed to be minimalistic yet informative, providing you with essential information without cluttering the screen. In action stages, you'll typically see your Ring count displayed prominently, which acts as your health; collecting 100 rings grants you an extra life. Your score is also visible, encouraging high-speed, efficient runs. The timer tracks your progress through the stage, and a small icon often indicates your current character. In the Adventure Fields, the UI is even simpler, usually just showing your character and any relevant on-screen prompts for interaction. When pausing the game, you'll access the main menu, which allows you to save your progress, load a game, adjust options, and view your collected Emblems. Pay attention to the on-screen prompts, especially during tutorials or when interacting with NPCs, as they often provide crucial hints or objectives.
