Chao raising is a beloved and unique side activity in Sonic Adventure, offering a charming pet simulation experience. You can find Chao Gardens in each Adventure Field. To raise a Chao, you first need to find a Chao Egg, which are often hidden or found in specific locations within the Adventure Fields. Once you have an egg, take it to a Chao Garden and wait for it to hatch. You can influence your Chao's stats and evolution by giving it small animals and Chaos Drives found in Action Stages. Animals boost specific stats (Run, Fly, Power, Swim), while Chaos Drives provide a general stat boost. Interact with your Chao by petting it (positive reinforcement) or throwing it (negative reinforcement). Chao can evolve into different forms (Hero, Dark, Neutral) based on the alignment of the characters who interact with them. You can also enter your Chao in races at the Chao Stadium, earning prizes and Emblems. Raising a powerful and unique Chao is a rewarding long-term endeavor.
