Throughout your adventure, you'll discover various character upgrades that enhance their abilities and open up new possibilities for exploration and combat. These upgrades are often hidden within the Adventure Fields or awarded after specific story events. For Sonic, you can find the Light Speed Attack, allowing him to charge up and attack a line of enemies or rings, and the Ancient Light, which is required for the Light Speed Attack. Tails can find the Rhythm Badge, which enhances his flight duration, and the Jet Anklet, increasing his running speed. Knuckles can acquire the Shovel Claw, enabling him to dig for items, and the Fighting Gloves, which boost his attack power. Amy gets the Warrior Feather for a higher Hammer Jump and the Long Hammer for increased attack range. Big receives the Power Rod for stronger fishing and the Life Ring for a larger fishing lure. Gamma's Jet Booster allows for longer hovering, and the Laser Blaster increases his lock-on range. Finding all upgrades is crucial for 100% completion and makes subsequent playthroughs or A-Rank attempts much easier.
