Item Boxes are scattered throughout levels and contain various helpful items. Most commonly, they contain a cluster of Rings, providing a quick boost to your ring count. Occasionally, you might find a 1-Up icon within an Item Box, granting an extra life. Some Item Boxes are also used to introduce specific Color Wisps for the first time in a level, or to provide a refill of a Wisp you've already used. Always hit Item Boxes when you see them, as their contents are always beneficial. They are usually found along the main path or slightly off to the side.
