The Rotatron is the first boss you'll face. It's a large, spinning robot that attacks with its rotating arms. The battle takes place on a circular platform. The Rotatron has two main attacks: a ground pound that sends out a shockwave, and a spinning attack where it extends its arms. To damage it, you need to wait for it to perform its ground pound. After it lands, its core will briefly be exposed. Use a Homing Attack on the core. Repeat this process, dodging its spinning arms by quick-stepping or jumping over them. The Cyan Laser Wisp, if available, can also be used to quickly home in on the core after a bounce, but it's not strictly necessary. Three hits will defeat it.
