Each act in Sonic Colors: Ultimate contains 5 hidden Red Star Rings. Collecting all 5 in a single act will reward you with a Chaos Emerald. There are 7 Chaos Emeralds in total, one for each world. Collecting all Chaos Emeralds is essential for unlocking the true ending of the game and Super Sonic. Red Star Rings are often placed in hard-to-reach areas, requiring specific Color Powers, precise platforming, or exploration of alternate paths. If you miss a ring, you can replay the act at any time. The game saves your collected rings even if you fail the level, so you don't need to get all 5 in one go if you're struggling. However, to get the Chaos Emerald, you must collect all 5 in a single run.
