Admiral Jelly is an aquatic boss found in Aquarium Park, a larger and more formidable version of Captain Jelly, now equipped with a submarine.
Phase 1: Underwater Pursuit
- Attack Pattern: Admiral Jelly will pursue Sonic through an underwater tunnel, firing torpedoes and occasionally deploying mines.
- Strategy: This phase is a chase sequence. You'll need to use the Yellow Wisp (Drill) to quickly navigate through the water and avoid obstacles. The Admiral Jelly's weak point is its exposed rear. When you get close enough, use a Homing Attack on its back. You'll need to repeat this several times. Be careful to avoid the torpedoes and mines it deploys. Keep an eye on your air supply and grab air bubbles when needed.
Phase 2: Open Water Confrontation
- Attack Pattern: After taking damage, Admiral Jelly will move to a more open arena, continuing to fire torpedoes and mines, and occasionally attempting to ram Sonic.
- Strategy: The strategy remains similar: use the Yellow Wisp (Drill) to quickly close the distance and hit its rear with a Homing Attack. The open water allows for more maneuverability but also means more space for Admiral Jelly to attack. Dodge its attacks by drilling around it or using quick bursts of speed. Continue to hit its rear until it is defeated.
Weakness: Exposed rear, vulnerable to Homing Attack after using Yellow Wisp. Reward: Progress to Asteroid Coaster.
