Power-Up Capsules are classic Sonic items that provide temporary enhancements. In Sonic Colors, these are less frequent than Wisps but still offer valuable benefits when found.
- Invincibility: Grants Sonic temporary invincibility, making him immune to all damage for a short period. This is incredibly useful for plowing through dangerous enemy formations or hazardous environments without losing rings.
- Speed Shoes: Temporarily increases Sonic's already incredible speed, allowing him to run even faster. This is excellent for achieving faster clear times and reaching areas that might otherwise be difficult to access.
These capsules are usually found in item boxes, which are often placed along the main path or in slightly hidden alcoves. While their effects are temporary, using them strategically can significantly improve your performance in a stage. For example, an Invincibility power-up can allow you to boost through a section without worrying about enemy attacks, saving your Boost Gauge for later. Always grab them when you see them!
