Red Star Rings are the primary collectible in Sonic Colors. There are five Red Star Rings hidden in each main act of every world. Collecting them is crucial for unlocking new acts in Game Land and progressing through the game's bonus content. They are often placed in hard-to-reach areas, requiring specific Wispon abilities, precise platforming, or exploration of alternate paths. Some are hidden behind destructible objects, while others require a series of quick maneuvers to grab. It's highly recommended to replay acts after you've unlocked more Wisps, as some Red Star Rings are inaccessible without later abilities. For example, a Red Star Ring in Tropical Resort Act 1 might require the Yellow Wisp (Drill) from a later world. Don't worry if you miss them on your first run; the game encourages revisiting stages.
