- Keep Up: Use your Avatar's boost and quick-step to stay close to Metal Sonic.
- Dodge Hazards: Quick-step to avoid the mines he drops and the projectiles he fires.
- Wispon Primary Attack: Use your Wispon's primary attack (R2/RT) to deal consistent damage whenever you're close enough. Ranged Wispons like Asteroid or Grenade can be particularly effective here.
- Homing Attack: When he's briefly stunned or vulnerable, use a Homing Attack to close the distance and land a hit.
