Wispons are the unique weapons and special abilities wielded by your custom Avatar. Each Wispon type offers a distinct primary attack and a powerful special ability, making your choice crucial for adapting to different stages and enemy types. While there isn't a direct 'upgrade' system in the traditional sense, you'll acquire more powerful and varied Wispons as you progress, effectively serving as upgrades to your arsenal.
Acquiring Wispons:
- Story Progression: New Wispon types are unlocked as you complete specific stages in the main Story Mode. These are usually introduced with a tutorial on their usage.
- Mission Rewards: Completing Extra Missions, Daily Missions, and SOS Missions can sometimes reward you with new Wispons or variations of existing ones.
- Red Star Ring Collection: Collecting all five Red Star Rings in certain stages can also unlock new Wispons.
Wispon Variations:
Beyond the base Wispon types (Burst, Lightning, Cube, etc.), you'll also find variations with different elemental properties or slightly altered stats. For example, you might find a 'Fire Burst Wispon' or a 'Heavy Cube Wispon.' These variations offer subtle changes to damage, range, or the effectiveness of their special ability. While not a direct upgrade path, collecting these variations allows you to fine-tune your Avatar's loadout.
Equipping Wispons:
You can change your equipped Wispon at any time from the Avatar customization menu. It's highly recommended to experiment with different Wispons and switch them out based on the stage you're about to play. Some stages might benefit from the Cube Wispon's platform creation, while others might be better suited for the Lightning Wispon's chain attacks. There's no penalty for switching, so adapt your arsenal to the challenge at hand.
Focus on unlocking all the base Wispon types first, then explore the variations to find your preferred tools for destruction. The right Wispon can make a significant difference in your performance and enjoyment of Avatar stages.
