Wispon Combat Strategies
Wispons are the cornerstone of your Avatar's combat effectiveness in Sonic Forces. Each Wispon type offers a distinct offensive capability and a powerful special ability that can turn the tide of battle. Mastering their use is crucial for clearing stages efficiently and defeating the various robotic enemies and bosses that stand in your way.
Fire Wispon: This Wispon unleashes a stream of fire, excellent for dealing consistent damage to multiple enemies in a line. Its special ability, the Fireball, allows you to launch a powerful projectile that can destroy groups of enemies or deal sificant damage to larger foes. Use this for clearing out swarms or targeting weak points from a distance.
Lightning Wispon: The Lightning Wispon delivers rapid electrical bursts, ideal for quickly dispatching single targets or enemies clustered together. Its special ability, the Lightning Strike, calls down a powerful bolt of lightning, capable of stunning or obliterating enemies caught in its radius. This is particularly effective against fast-moving enemies or when you need to create an opening.
Cube Wispon: This Wispon allows you to create solid cubes that can be used as platforms or projectiles. The special ability, the Cube Bomb, launches a large cube that explodes on impact, dealing area-of-effect damage. This is great for breaking through enemy formations or damaging bosses with its explosive power.
Drill Wispon: The Drill Wispon fires a piercing projectile that can penetrate multiple enemies. Its special ability, the Drill Dash, allows your Avatar to dash forward, burrowing through enemies and obstacles. This is excellent for covering ground quickly while dealing damage or for breaking through specific environmental barriers.
Burst Wispon: This Wispon shoots out a burst of energy that can stun enemies. Its special ability, the Burst Bomb, creates a large explosion that damages and knocks back all nearby enemies. This is a fantastic crowd-control tool, useful for creating breathing room or interrupting enemy attacks.
Impact Wispon: The Impact Wispon delivers a powerful, close-range punch. Its special ability, the Impact Stomp, allows your Avatar to slam down from the air, creating a shockwave that damages and stuns enemies below. This is useful for engaging enemies from above or for breaking through grounded defenses.
General Strategy: Always be aware of the Wispon you have equipped. Switch between them strategically based on the enemy types and the stage layout. For example, use the Fire Wispon to clear out distant groups, the Lightning Wispon for agile foes, and the Cube Wispon for breaking through defenses. utilize the special abilities; they often have a cooldown, so use them at opportune moments for maximum impact.
