Each stage in Sonic Forces contains five hidden Red Star Rings. Finding Red Star Rings:

- Character-Specific Abilities: Some rings are only accessible by a specific character type. For instance, Classic Sonic might need to Spin Dash through a weak wall, while Modern Sonic might need to boost over a large gap. Your Avatar's Wispon abilities can also unlock paths.
