Shadow the Hedgehog is Modern Sonic's rival, faced in the Chemical Plant Zone. This is another high-speed race, but with more combat elements. Shadow will use Chaos Control to teleport and attack, as well as perform Homing Attacks. Use your Boost to keep up and Quick Step to dodge his attacks. When he's vulnerable after an attack or a teleport, use a Homing Attack. There are sections where you'll be grinding on rails; use Quick Step to switch rails and avoid his attacks. The final stretch involves a series of Homing Attacks on Shadow as he tries to escape. Maintain your boost and attack relentlessly.
