Tails, Sonic's loyal sidekick, offers unique aerial mobility. His primary ability is:
- Flight: Press the jump button twice to fly for a limited duration. This allows him to reach high platforms, bypass obstacles, and recover from falls.
While not as fast as Sonic on the ground, Tails' flight makes him excellent for exploration and finding hidden areas, especially giant rings. He can also carry Sonic (or Knuckles in &Knuckles mode) for a short period, making co-op play more versatile. His flight is limited by a stamina bar, so manage it carefully.
