The seven Chaos Emeralds are powerful artifacts that grant immense power. Collecting all of them allows Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles to transform into their Super forms (Super Sonic, Super Tails, Super Knuckles) when they have 50 or more rings. Super forms grant invincibility, increased speed, and enhanced jump height, but they constantly drain rings. Collecting all Emeralds is also necessary to unlock the true ending of the game. They are obtained by completing Special Stages accessed via Giant Rings.
