The Egg Hammer is the boss of Dead Line Zone, piloted by Dr. Eggman. This boss is a large, robotic mech equipped with a powerful hammer. It's a more aggressive boss that requires precise timing and movement to defeat.
Phase 1: Hammer Attacks
The Egg Hammer will primarily attack by slamming its large hammer onto the ground, creating a shockwave that you need to jump over. It will also sometimes try to sweep its hammer across the ground. After it performs a hammer slam, its head (cockpit) will briefly be exposed. This is your chance to attack. As Sonic, use a Homing Attack on the cockpit. As Blaze, use a Burst Dash. You'll need to be quick, as the window is short. Dodge its attacks and wait for the opening.
Phase 2: Rocket Punch
As you deal more damage, the Egg Hammer will introduce a new attack: a rocket punch. It will launch its fist at you, which you'll need to dodge. After the fist is launched, it will leave its arm socket exposed. This is another weak point. You can attack the arm socket directly, or wait for the head to be exposed after a hammer attack. Sometimes, the boss will also jump and try to land on you, creating a larger shockwave. Continue to dodge its attacks and strike its weak points whenever they are exposed. Use your Boost to quickly get into position for an attack or to escape a dangerous situation. After enough hits, the Egg Hammer will be destroyed.
