Sonic Rush offers a wealth of post-game content to keep you boosting and burning through zones. This section will guide you through unlocking everything, from hidden characters to challenging new modes.

Unlocking Blaze the Cat's Story

If you completed the game as Sonic, your first priority should be experiencing the story from Blaze the Cat's perspective. Her journey offers unique boss encounters, different dialogue, and a fresh take on the events of the game.

Action: Simply complete the main story with Sonic the Hedgehog.
Reward: Blaze the Cat's entire story mode becomes available from the main menu. Select "New Game" and you'll be given the option to choose between Sonic and Blaze.
Strategy: While Blaze shares many of Sonic's levels, her unique abilities (like the Burst Hover and Fire Boost) open up different routes and strategies. Experiment with her moveset to discover optimal paths and secrets.

Collecting All Chaos & Sol Emeralds

To truly complete Sonic Rush, you need to gather all seven Chaos Emeralds (for Sonic) and all seven Sol Emeralds (for Blaze). This is crucial for unlocking the true ending and the final boss battle.

Action: In each Zone, locate the Special Stage Ring. These are often hidden off the main path or require specific maneuvers to reach.
Special Stage Strategy:
1. Entry: To enter a Special Stage, you need to collect 50 or more rings before hitting the Special Stage Ring. If you have fewer than 50, you'll simply collect the ring.
2. Gameplay: Special Stages are 3D tube-like levels where you control Sonic/Blaze from behind, collecting rings and avoiding obstacles. The goal is to collect a set number of rings before time runs out.
3. Tips:
  - Prioritize collecting large ring clusters.
  - Use the boost sparingly to navigate tight sections or catch up to ring trails.

  - Failing a Special Stage means you'll need to find another Special Stage Ring in a level to try again.

Collecting all 7 Sol Emeralds as Blaze unlocks Burning Blaze for her final boss encounter. More importantly, collecting ALL 14 Emeralds (7 Chaos and 7 Sol) is required for the game's true ending and the final boss against the ultimate threat.

The True Final Boss & Ending

Once you have collected all 14 Emeralds (7 Chaos with Sonic and 7 Sol with Blaze), a new, more challenging final boss will become available. This is the ultimate test of your skills.

Prerequisite: Successfully complete both Sonic's and Blaze's stories, ensuring you have collected all 7 Chaos Emeralds with Sonic and all 7 Sol Emeralds with Blaze.
Access: After meeting the prerequisites, replay the final boss stage (presumably the one where you faced Eggman/Eggman Nega). The true final boss will automatically trigger.
