Sonic Rush features a fun multiplayer mode where you can race against a friend wirelessly. The goal is simple: be the first to reach the goal ring. While the core mechanics remain the same, multiplayer introduces a competitive element that requires different strategies. Focus on speed and efficiency, but also be aware of your opponent's position. Knowing the optimal routes and shortcuts for each stage is even more critical here.

Utilize your Boost Gauge strategically to gain an advantage. If you're neck and neck, a well-timed boost can put you ahead. Conversely, if you're behind, a boost can help you catch up. Don't be afraid to use your Homing Attack/Burst Dash on enemies to maintain momentum and fill your gauge, even if it means taking a slightly longer path. Sometimes, a safer, consistent route is better than a risky shortcut that could lead to a collision. Practice in Time Attack mode to master the levels, and then apply that knowledge to outpace your friends in multiplayer.
