The Bridge Blaster is your first major encounter with Dr. Eggman, serving as an introduction to boss mechanics. It's a relatively straightforward fight, but it teaches you the importance of timing and identifying weak points.

Recommended Character:
- Sonic: His Homing Attack makes it easy to hit the weak point.
- Amy: Her Hammer Attack provides direct damage and a good jump height.
Boss Phases & Strategy:
- Phase 1: Ground Attack & Projectiles
- Attacks: The Bridge Blaster moves horizontally across the bridge, occasionally stopping to fire slow-moving projectiles in an arc.
- Weak Point: A glowing cockpit or panel on top of the machine.
- Strategy: When the Blaster stops, jump and use a Homing Attack (Sonic) or Hammer Attack (Amy) to hit the weak point. Dodge projectiles by jumping over them or quickly moving underneath. Get 2-3 hits in this phase.
- Phase 2: Bridge Destruction & Mines
- Attacks: After taking some damage, Eggman will start destroying sections of the bridge, creating gaps. He will also drop mines that explode after a short delay.
- Weak Point: Remains the same.
- Strategy: This phase requires more careful movement. Time your jumps across the crumbling bridge sections to reach the weak point. Avoid the mines by jumping over them or quickly moving past their detonation radius. Focus on getting 2-3 more hits.
- Phase 3: Increased Speed & Barrage
- Attacks: The Blaster moves faster, and projectiles are fired more frequently, sometimes in a wider spread.
- Weak Point: Still the top cockpit.
- Strategy: Maintain focus on dodging. The attack windows are shorter due to increased speed. Wait for the Blaster to stop, quickly hit the weak point, and immediately prepare to dodge the next attack. If you have an Invincibility power-up, this is a good time to use it for a few free hits.
Rewards: Completion of Bridge Island Zone, score bonus.
