Objective: Defeat Dr. Eggman's Bridge Blaster.
Recommended Character: Sonic (for Homing Attack) or Amy (for direct damage).
Boss Phases & Strategy:
- Phase 1: Ground Attack & Projectiles
- Eggman's machine will move back and forth across the bridge, occasionally stopping to fire projectiles.
- Attack Opportunity: When the machine stops, it will expose a weak point (usually a cockpit or a glowing panel) on its top. Jump and use a Homing Attack (Sonic) or a Hammer Attack (Amy) to hit it.
- Dodge Strategy: The projectiles are usually slow-moving. Jump over them or use a Spin Dash to quickly move under them.
- Phase 2: Bridge Destruction & Mines
- After a few hits, Eggman will start destroying sections of the bridge, creating gaps. He will also drop mines that explode after a short delay.
- Attack Opportunity: The weak point remains the same. You'll need to time your jumps carefully across the crumbling bridge sections to reach it.
- Dodge Strategy: Pay attention to the shadows indicating where bridge sections will fall. Avoid the mines by jumping over them or quickly moving past them before they detonate.
- Phase 3: Increased Speed & Barrage
- Eggman's machine will move faster and fire more projectiles, sometimes in a spread pattern.
- Attack Opportunity: This phase requires quick reflexes. Wait for the machine to stop, then quickly jump and attack the weak point.
- Dodge Strategy: Focus on dodging. Use your character's unique abilities if needed (e.g., Tails' flight to stay airborne longer, Knuckles' glide to cross gaps).
Rewards: Upon defeating the Bridge Blaster, you'll clear Bridge Island Zone and proceed to the next area. You'll also earn a significant score bonus.
