Objective: Reach the Goal Post.
Recommended Character: Tails (for vertical exploration) or Knuckles (for hidden paths).
Walkthrough:
- The act begins with a series of bouncy mushrooms and vines. Use these to propel yourself upwards and forwards.
- You'll encounter new enemies like the 'Monkey Badniks' that throw coconuts. Time your attacks or jumps to avoid their projectiles.
- Chaos Emerald Opportunity: After a long upward climb using vines, look for a hidden passage to the upper left, often obscured by foliage. Tails can fly up to it, or Knuckles can climb. The Big Ring will be there.
- Navigate through sections with quicksand-like pools. You'll sink slowly, so keep moving or jump frequently to stay afloat.
- There are several grind rails that weave through the jungle canopy. Use them to maintain high speed and bypass ground-level hazards.
- The end of the act features a series of swinging vines. Time your jumps to grab the next vine and swing across large gaps to the Goal Post.
Tips: Tails' flight is invaluable for reaching high platforms and avoiding quicksand. Knuckles can climb many of the vertical surfaces to find shortcuts.
