The Mystic Cave Zone boss features Robotnik in a drilling machine that moves along the ceiling and floor. The arena is a small cavern with a central pit.
Phases & Attacks:
- Ceiling Drill: Robotnik drills along the ceiling, dropping debris.
- Floor Drill: He then drills along the floor, creating a path.
- Spike Drop: Occasionally, he will drop spikes from the ceiling.
Strategy:
- Hit Robotnik's Top: Robotnik is vulnerable on the top of his machine when he is drilling along the floor.
- Dodge Debris/Spikes: Avoid the debris and spikes he drops.
- Use the Pit: The central pit can be used to dodge his floor drill attack, but be careful not to fall in.
This boss requires 8 hits. The main challenge is timing your jumps to hit him as he drills along the floor and avoiding his various projectiles. Stay in the center of the arena to have the most room to maneuver.
