The Oil Ocean Zone boss is an upgraded submarine vehicle that submerges and emerges from the oil, firing projectiles. The arena is a large oil pool with a few platforms.
Phases & Attacks:
- Submerge & Emerge: Robotnik's submarine will submerge into the oil and then emerge in a different spot.
- Oil Bomb: He fires oil bombs that explode into smaller oil droplets.
- Laser Beam: Occasionally fires a horizontal laser beam.
Strategy:
- Hit Robotnik's Top: Robotnik is vulnerable on the top of his submarine when it emerges from the oil.
- Dodge Oil Bombs: Avoid the oil bombs and their subsequent droplets.
- Dodge Laser: Jump over the laser beam.
- Use Platforms: Utilize the platforms to get height for your attacks and to avoid the oil.
This boss requires 8 hits. The key is to anticipate where he will emerge from the oil and to time your jumps to hit him while dodging his projectiles. The oil slows you down, so try to stay on platforms as much as possible.
