  • Rings: Located at the top left. These are your life force. As long as you have at least one ring, you won't lose a life when hit. Instead, you'll scatter your rings. Collect 100 rings for an extra life.
  • Time: Top center. Tracks how long you've been in the current act. While there's no strict time limit for most acts, completing them quickly contributes to a higher score.
  • Score: Top right. Increases by collecting rings, defeating enemies, and completing acts quickly.
  • Lives: Bottom left. Indicates how many attempts you have left. Losing all rings and getting hit, or falling into a bottomless pit, results in losing a life.
  • Character Icon: Bottom center. Shows whether you're playing as Sonic, Tails, or both.

Pay close attention to your ring count, especially in challenging sections. Losing all your rings can be devastating, so prioritize collecting them.
