Act 1 of Chemical Plant Zone immediately throws you into the thick of it. The most prominent new hazard is the purple chemical liquid. If you fall into it, you'll start to drown, indicated by a countdown. Find an air bubble or jump out quickly to avoid losing a life. The level features many speed boosters and loop-de-loops, encouraging high-speed traversal. There are also sections with moving platforms and conveyor belts that require careful timing. Keep an eye out for hidden passages that can bypass some of the more dangerous chemical pools.
