Location: Green Hill Zone Act 3
Description: Dr. Robotnik's first machine is a simple Egg Mobile with a large wrecking ball attached. He flies back and forth, swinging the ball in an arc.
Attack Pattern: Robotnik will swing the wrecking ball three times, usually in a predictable arc, before pausing briefly. During this pause, the Egg Mobile is vulnerable.
Strategy:
- Observe the Swing: Stand a safe distance away and watch the wrecking ball's arc.
- Identify Opening: After the third swing, Robotnik will briefly stop. This is your window to attack.
- Jump and Hit: Jump directly into the Egg Mobile (not the wrecking ball) during his vulnerable state.
- Repeat: He requires 8 hits to defeat. After each hit, he might speed up slightly or change the height of his swings. Stay patient and repeat the process.
Key Tip: The wrecking ball itself is a hazard. Avoid touching it at all costs. Focus on hitting the Egg Mobile when it's stationary and exposed. Collect a shield power-up before the fight if possible for extra protection.
